W H Brading has a long history on the Island spanning over 100 years. 
1981 was the beginning of W H Brading & Son as we know today. Three siblings took over at the helm in 2001 and grew the business adding their own injection of care and commitment that has led them to another exciting new chapter in the history books of the company. 
WH Brading how grown into a trusted, reputable company in construction, scaffold and now DFG adaptations.

Meet The Team

Alan Hibberd

Director of Contracts

Alan puts the A in ART, ambitious for the business and its customers, always looking for innovative solutions to challenges that would put others off. His passion drives the company into new pastures, no job to big or to complex – that’s his motto. His charm and ability to listen ensures the client is at ease as soon as they meet.

Eddie Mew

Foreman

Eddie is our longest serving member of the Foreman team after being with us for over 25 years and has over 40 years experience as a tradesman. He specialised  in underpinning in the 80’s/90’s, he now manages our contracts up to 750k. Eddie enjoys a flutter at the races and beach fishing in his spare time.

Alan Foster

Foreman

Alan (Foz) has been with us for over 4 years, he manages our scaffold team with anything from quoting to erecting. His knowledge of the job is second to none. Alan is not scared of any challenge when it comes to scaffolding. If Alan is not spending time doing adventurous things with his two sons then he his most probably watching a game of footie.

Barbara Phillips

Transport Manager and Scaffold Administrator

Barbara has been with the company for 11 years following on from her long and successful career in accident recovery with The police. Barbara ensures everybody is in the right place at the right time and makes sure all our vehicles are in perfect condition. Barb has a wealth of knowledge in lorries and its always been her passion to work with them.

Roger Hibberd

Managing Director

Roger puts the R in ART, with rigour ensuring that all designs maximise aesthetics with functionality with real quotations that won't lead to later surprises.

Darren Whitewood

Foreman

Darren has been with us for around 6 years after joining us from Barratt homes , he is trained to NVQ level 6 in building and now studying for a NEBOSH construction certificate. He now manages complex contracts up to an unlimited value. Red bull definitely gives Darren his wings as he is always on the go , in his spare time he loves going out on his motocross bike with his teenage son.

Jack Hibberd

Foreman

Jack is our youngest member of the Foreman team, he has been with us since he was 16 starting off as a scaffolder progressing through to carpentry which is now his main trade. No matter what he faces he will complete the task with a smile and determination. When Jack is not donning his saw he’s occupying his daughter and newborn son.

Sophie Hibberd

Business Manager

Sophie brings fresh ideas to the business managing all communications and marketing activities. Hers is the knowledgeable and friendly voice you will hear at the end of the phone when you need us.

Teena Hibberd
Director of Finance

Teena adds the T to ART, tenacious in upholding the companies vision. She is the driver behind Brading's core values plus our resident agony aunt for both employees and clients. She always faces life with a smile.

Joshua Appell

Foreman

Josh is our newest member of the Foreman team he has been with us for 2 years. He manages all of our new build sites due to his unlimited knowledge with timber frame construction. In his spare time Josh is a keen sportsman with a great boxing background and a continued love for football.

Wayne Knight
Foreman

Wayne has been with us for 3 years now expanding our small works department, which includes bathroom adaptations for all needs. He is so eager to get to work every morning he sets out before 6am on his beloved road bike (now that’s keen!)
