Art of Care
We care about all of our customers and we understand the special care and hand holding our Disabled Facility Grant clients need to navigate getting the right work done. We work with our customers to take a holistic view of their family needs, not just for now but how this can adapt for the future.
Art of Care Services
There are a number of reasons why people may need disability adaptations made to their homes. Did you know you may be eligible for a Disabled Facilities Grant to help fund the changes you need within you home to maintain your independence?
We can walk you though options that may available to you and if you are eligible we can support you right through to the end. To find out more see Disabled Facility Grants.
If you are funding the adaptations yourself we can start when you are ready to.
Disabled Facility Grants
A Disabled Facilities Grant or DFG is available from Local Authorities to pay for essential housing adaptations to help disabled people stay in their own homes.
It is available in England and Wales.
What does it pay for?
The grant is able to pay for changes the council consider essential for the disabled person to live an independent life. The changes must be "necessary to meet your needs" and the work must be "reasonable and practical" gov.uk website.
This may include:
Widening doors and installing ramps, or stairlifts
Building or adapting a bathroom or bedroom
Adapting heating and lighting
Providing easy access to the garden
